Clean Energy Lobby Day – May 15th

The CCEA is excited to announce that a Clean Energy Lobby Day in Springfield has been scheduled for May 15th and space is still available!

So come join others in the clean energy community to help pass legislation fixing the states Renewable Portfolio Standard. Transportation and food will be provided. All you have to do is say YES!
Details:
Clean Energy Community Lobby Day in Springfield, IL.
Wednesday, May 15th, 2013
8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Transportation (from Chicago), breakfast, and dinner are provided.
(Departure/arrival location TBD but will be in or near the Loop)
Background:
As you may know, funding for renewable energy projects in Illinois is threatened due to a quirk in the legislation authorizing the state’s Renewable Portfolio Standard. Legislation to fix the problem, Senate Bill 103, is currently being considered in Springfield but policy makers need to hear from those in the clean energy community about its importance.
To help with this, the CCEA has teamed up with the Clean Energy Trust to bring a group of clean energy advocates down to Springfield. This is a great opportunity to share your business’s success and your opinions on why fixing our broken RPS is so critical to the Illinois clean energy industry and our state’s overall economy.  A full agenda, talking points, and other material will be provided.
If interested, please respond to Jeff Riley by Wednesday, May 8th at:jeffriley@chicagocleanenergyalliance.org
Feel free to also suggest others from your company, or in the industry, that you think would be interested in joining us.
We hope you can make it!
